Freaky dish, so I’ll post my secret recipe.  Shhhhhhhhhh don’t tell,  here is a yummmy dish you can cook up very quickly, well as quickly.

Ingredients:  Ginger (real Ginger) which you can get at your local super market, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, water, salt, choice of beef or chicken, oyster sauce.

1.  Slice up the ginger so they are thin pieces like tooth picks for a serving of two people maybe chop up a branch say 3″ long.

2.  Smash the garlic and place it in a pan with some olive oil till light brown.

3.  In a bowl, pour about two three table spoon of soy sauce, 1 1/2 table spoon of sugar, a pinch of salt, a table spoon of oyster sauce, and maybe a table spoon of water, but don’t dilute it too much, cause then you’ll loose the flavor.

4.  Slice up your meat, bite size, however you like it, but just note, the bigger the pieces the longer it takes to cook.

5.  When the garlic is light brown, dump the chicken into the pan till it is cooked, place a lid on the pan so the chicken stays moist.

6.  Dump the mixture of sauces into the pan, stir then place the ginger that you sliced into the pan.

7.  Stir and cover for about 4 minutes.

8.  Yummy dish, and best served with white jasmine rice.

I’ve made this dish all through college and it’s quick and delicious, and super healthy.  Got more where this came from.

So I read up on a company called Roku,

A little box that connects to your tv and and interenet.  Pretty much lets you access what ever you want to watch from Netflix and a few other company right now.  You know Netflix and their DVD via mail, well now it’s streamed through the net.  Freaky, very, but way cool.  What is so cool about that?  Lots of things, for one, I’m not waiting to see what is next on TV, I can see what ever I want, I don’t have to deal with commercials and ads that I don’t care to see.  But wait, that was done a way with Tivo, and these DVR boxes from the satellite companies?  Not quite, Tivo and DVRs do not allow me to watch unlimited amounts of movies for one monthly fee.  What they gave me for $50/month were 200 channels, that I don’t watch and the channels that I do want to watch is full of ads that I don’t care about.  Well, besides the Geico ads, they are quite comical.

It’s not like I watch movies all the time, but when I do I’d like to pick from a gazillion rather from an outdated list of crap.  The net is changing how we do things, that is why traditional stuff will change.

I would hope that Roku has other things in mind, like games, accessing other channels via web besides just movies.  I’d elaborate more on this but then it would never end, so we’ll have to post it the future when the product is ready for such a topic.

You want to talk about freaky?  Man, Wave is freaky.  Freaky cool that is .  Have you seen the vids?  Have you seen what it can do?  The first time I heard about it was from some close friends that were invited to their conference and I must say that I was not impressed.  From what I heard it was very similar to Facebook.  But with the recent PR and news, holy crap. It is some good stuff.  Some of the crazy things you can do, for example, a company “6rounds” uh, just check out the vid.

Nuts.  Imagine all the cool stuff you can do.  OK, want me to share my imagination with you?   First, I imagine getting a web cam.  Haahaaa, you’d think I’d have one by now.  Second, I imagine sitting in front of my screen all day trying to find people to interact with.  Ok, enough already, but really it is a great tool.

For reals though, I think overall, endless possibilities, apps that allow me to communication with someone in Korea or Japan without knowing the language is insanely cool.  Every once in a while I’d have to get off my but and play a game of Ninjahit which is pretty cool too.  As cool as Google Wave?  Hmmm, you decide.  Ninjahit,  it gets you off your butt at least.
